Finding the right fit
What belongs in a website project, and what is software?
The website is the part that explains your offer to buyers and helps them take an appropriate action. Bespoke software handles a defined job: recording a sales follow-up, checking inventory or organising a review. They can be separate projects, or a planned connection between the two. The workspace illustration shows that distinction.
Are the example designs templates we choose from?
No. The website studies provide visual talking points. Your own site is custom made, with research into your buyers informing its structure, words and appearance. Study names and visual content are illustrative, rather than evidence of completed customer work or results.
Can we commission a website without the extra tools?
Yes. A straightforward public website is a valid project in its own right. Login areas, workflow tools and connections are options to assess individually. Seeing a feature in an illustration does not mean it is included in your proposal.
Would we have to replace our existing systems?
That depends on the change you need and what is already in place. We would inspect the relevant website or task, establish what access is available and consider what can sensibly be retained. An integration also depends on what the existing provider allows.
What do you need before you can estimate the work?
The estimate needs a defined set of pages or functions, the content involved, any connections and the review process. Darren discusses your constraints and confirms cost, timing and available capacity. Hosting, subscriptions, care and later additions need explicit treatment too. You decide whether to proceed with the resulting proposal.
Working with the finished result
How would our staff change the content?
First decide which information changes regularly and who should edit it. We can then specify a suitable editing method, permissions and handover. An editing system is part of the agreed solution; it is not assumed to be the same for every website.
Who would be allowed into a private workspace?
Only the users and roles defined for that project. A staff member might manage requests while a customer sees only their own information. Those access boundaries need to be designed and checked. The demonstration here does not register users or open access to real records.
Could a customer area offer a DS Repro print request?
A future client area could give customers a place to describe print or signage requirements and pass them to Darren. DS Repro would review the details and agree the job with the customer. This would require its own specification; the illustrations on this website do not provide an active print-ordering account.
What would the opportunities engine leave to our team?
The proposed tool would gather notices from chosen sources and highlight possible matches. Your team would still check the source information, suitability, deadlines and whether to pursue a notice. Its role is discovery and filtering, with no preparation or submission of responses.
Would software publish social posts without our approval?
The review and approval rules are decisions to make before enabling a publishing connection. A setup could prepare drafts, collect your approval and schedule the accepted content. Channel support, account permissions, usage limits and any provider fees determine what is possible. People remain responsible for checking facts and deciding what may be published.
What if something needs attention after handover?
Your project arrangement identifies who manages the live system and how to raise a problem or request a change. Support coverage, availability and additional work are agreed rather than assumed. The care page lists the responsibilities worth settling.
